MyGlam Changes Name To ipsy.

Log into MyGlam and you'll see it's different.  A lot different.  The changed the entire set up of the site.  The way it looks, the way you navigate through it, they added more social aspects, and they even changed the name.   MyGlam is now called ipsy with a lower case i.  Why ipsy you may ask? In MyGlams words....

When our founder Michelle Phan started myglam last December, she envisioned a vibrant community where women would be inspired to express their unique beauty. myglam was a great starting point, but as we launched a new home for our community, we wanted a name with a deeper meaning. ipsy comes from the latin word ipse, which means “sense of self”. In short, ipsy is all about YOU.

I'm not really sure about a name change this early in the game.  MyGlam had just started really establishing itself.  It's not even a year old yet!  But I guess we will see how it goes.  All the new social aspects of the website are nice but I need to play around with them a bit more before I can give a decent review.

  1. This irritates me so much, "ipse" doesn't mean "sense of self" in Latin. It means "that very man", "that very woman", etc. It is an emphatic pronoun. People really should be informed before naming an entire company as to what they are even naming it after.

  2. That makes this whole thing even more ridiculous then. I like the bags, just thought the whole name change was really silly.
