Yesterday I blogged about Beauty Army starting the skip a month option where with the push of a button, you can choose to opt out for a month without paying or canceling your membership. I was excited by this idea and had not seen it before on my other beauty subscription memberships. Well while poking around Julep Maven (I'm a new member) this morning I realized that they have the same option. There is a link for "skip a month". Only downside is there is only a 5 day window each month to click skip, but I throw sticky notes up on my desktop or put reminders in my smartphone calender so I don't forget. I only paid 1 cent for my first month because they are currently running a promotion to get it using the promo code PENNY at check out. I'm still not totally comfortable about the $20 a month price tag, but instead of canceling I'm just joining to "skip a month" on months they don't have colors and products I'm interested in. I really love this option and I'd love it if all the services I subscribe to did this.
